Using a song is a easy way to incorporate exercise inside on a cold or rainy day. At our Hy-Vee KidsFit Assemblies we use different music to showcase different exercises.
This song in particular is "Ghostbusters". Each time you hear them say "Ghostbusters" perform the exercise that you or your group picks.
Remember to dance, run in place or around a "track" in your house/school between each "Ghostbuster"! If you aren't smiling, you aren't doing it right.
Here are some recommended exercises based on ages.
6 years and under:
7-11 year olds:
12 years & up:
- Modified Burpees, Burpees or Super Burpees
- Jumping Jacks or Star Jumps
- Frog Jumps
- Squats, Jump Squats, 180 Jumps
