Overnight Oats

Oats are a whole-grain that check off quite a few boxes in terms of being heart-healthy.

  • They help lower cholesterol.
    • One serving of oats provides 2 grams of soluble fiber, which aids in lowering LDL (bad) cholesterol.
  • They keep you energized all morning.
    • Whole-grain oats are a complex carbohydrate, meaning they break down to become energy that’s slowly absorbed by your body.
  • There’s protein too!
    • One serving of oats provides 5 grams of protein to start your day.

Try the recipe below to start your day off right. The more involved kids are in making their own creation, the more excited they will be to eat it!
