The Year of No Fear!

For 2017, Hy-Vee KidsFit will be doing weekly exercise and health Truth or Dares to help motivate and encourage education at home for the whole family.

Making choices about our personal health can be confusing. There are many advertisements out there that make you feel like you have to do a certain exercise or eat a special "super food" to be healthy. Sometimes you might feel pressure to look like a certain person or play a certain sport.

Hy-Vee KidsFit wants you to have NO FEAR!

  • You don't have to do a certain exercise to make you healthy.
    • Just do something. Do the exercise that you enjoy. 
      • Dancing
      • Jumping
      • Running
      • Biking
  • You don't have to eat the "super food" of choice right now if you don't like it.
    • Find another veggie or fruit
    • Eat those more regularly.
  • Everyone looks different, that is why we are individuals. 
    • Love yourself and what you are good at.
    • Appreciate the process of how you can get better at all things in life.

We will be continuing to give you weekly tips and challenges throughout 2017. We hope these can help you make small changes at home and create healthy conversations!
