Flexible Fitness
Download worksheetPhysical Activity is important all year round, but especially in the winter months when we may have a decreased mood due to colder temperatures and decreased sunlight. We want to help you find time and motivation because it is important for your body and mind.
We challenge you to be FLEXIBLE with your fitness and provide you new activities to complete inside or outside. If possible, exercising outside can be extra beneficial as it exposes us to Vitamin D, known as the “sunshine vitamin,” which is an important vitamin in promoting bone growth and maintaining strong bones.
Bundle up and…
- Go sledding
- Go for a walk
- Have a snowball fight
- Build a snowman or fort
If temperatures are too low to exercise outside, don’t worry there are plenty of activities you can do inside!
Try these indoor activities…
- Flexibility Video Series
- The Ab-Domanial Snowman
- Coloring Pages
- Lower Body Video Series
- 12 Days of Holiday Fun
- Yoga How To Series
- Mindfulness Series
Now that you know how to be FLEXIBLE with your fitness, challenge yourself to stay active this month by completing our Flexible Fitness Challenge!
